To get specific food recommendations while searching in Google Maps, you can configure your dietary requirements in the app. We’ll show you how to do that on your iPhone, iPad, and Android phone.
In the Google Maps app on your phone, you can set various diet options, including alcohol-free, gluten-free, halal, kosher, vegan, and vegetarian. Then, when you look for food places, Google Maps will only show the locations that serve food according to your dietary requirements.

Update Dietary Preferences in Google Maps
To set dietary requirements, first, launch the Google Maps app on your iPhone, iPad, or Android phone. At the top-right corner of the app, tap your profile icon.
On your profile page that opens, select “Settings.”
In the “Settings” menu, tap “Manage Your Preferences.”
On the “Manage Your Preferences” page, tap “Dietary.”
You will land on a “Dietary Preferences” page. Here, enable the boxes for which you’d like to get recommendations. Then, at the bottom of this page, tap “Update Preferences.”
